Vision and Mission
Proverbs 28:18 (The Message) If people can’t
see what God is doing, they stumble all over
themselves; But when they attend to what
he reveals, they are most blessed...
Hababkuk 2:2 (NKJV) Then the LORD answered
me and said: “Write the vision and
make it plain on tablets, that he may run
who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for
an appointed time; but at the end it will
speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries,
wait for it; because it will surely come,
it will not tarry.”
At Valley Victory Church, we want to develop a culture of blessing. It is imperative
that we see what the Lord is doing, so
that we can go with Him and do as He does.
(John 5:19) God’s Word and our communication
and relationship with Him are vital for experiencing
His life to it fullest.
Here is our vision and mission as
a local church and as a part of an Apostolic
Church planting movement. We have a plan...a
flexible plan. Pro 16:9 says, “In his
heart a man plans his course, but the LORD
determines his steps.” God is in control. We will follow!
This vision requires courage, commitment
and cooperation, and with the help of God
it will ...”surely come, It will not
tarry.”

Our Vision: To develop fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ
Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given
to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of
all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded
you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
- A fully devoted disciple of Christ is someone
who has been Born Again, empowered by the
Holy Spirit and is walking in a newness of
life and serving in a newness of spirit (Rom 6:4; 7:6).
- They have set their affections
on God and are consumed with being about
His business. (Col. 3:1-10)
- They are constantly
longing to know God better and they draw
closer to Him each day.(Phil 3:10).
- They
are learners and grow in the knowledge of
God through studying and practicing the Holy
Scriptures.(1 Pe 2:2; 2 Tim 3:16)
- Their walk
is not mere words but it is a walk noticed
by mankind (1Jn 3:18; Matt 5:16; 2 Cor. 3:2).
- A fully devoted disciple of Christ recognizes
their high calling and God given gifts, and
uses them to serve others and to build the
Body of Christ.(1 Cor 1:2; Rom 12:6)
- They
are godly stewards of their time, treasures,
and talents.
- A fully devoted disciple of
Christ desires to be conformed to the image
of Christ (Rom 8:29; 2 Cor 3:18; Col 3:10)
Our Mission: To gather, equip and launch people into Holy Spirit directed service
GATHER
We labor to reach every available
person, by every available means, at every
available time with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Go and get them: Evangelism and Outreach – We
will do what we can to “Go into all
the world,” by both starting in our
own little world, and reaching beyond into
all worlds through Victory Missions, to the
uttermost parts of the earth.” We will
pay attention to the needs of our community
and seek the Lord on the best ways to address
the issues we find and to carry the gospel
of Christ to our community in our words and
actions.
Attract them: By being salt and light – Through
our passionate and purposeful lifestyles,
we will attract people to Christ. Through
our friendly, gracious, and warm expressions
of Christ’s love, they will know that
we are His disciples.
EQUIP
We will provide teaching, training
and opportunities for practical application
of Biblical principles and truth, for personal
development, fruitfulness and God honoring
exploits.
We will provide:
- Solid Biblically based doctrine from the
Word of God
- Instruction and exhortations to walk in the Will of God
- Instruction and modeling lifestyles in the Ways of God
The Covenant Connection
Before you tie yourself to any dock you
want to make sure the moorings are sound.
Before people make a covenant connection
with the ministry they will need to know
what they are connecting to.
The Victory Connection class is a series of sessions
that gives the history and vision of Victory
Churches International and specifically of
Valley Victory Church. You will learn
our purpose, passion and philosophy of ministry,
as well as learn the nuts and bolts of church
leadership, church government, ministry management
and leadership development.
It is important to us to get to know those who would consider VVC home.
So, during these sessions we will give a
brief Spiritual Gifting test and hold personal
interviews with people so that we can know
them and better understand how we can accomplish
God’s work together (Interview appointments
may need to be scheduled).
Pillar Principles
A systematic system of training in Bible
doctrine will be presented. The course, “Pillar Principles,” is a foundational doctrines
course that can be taught in the classroom,
a home group or one-on-one. It’s purpose
is to ground a disciple in foundational truths
as found in Hebrews 6:1, 2 and in the book
of Romans.
Navigator Track
A leadership training course called “The
Navigator Track” will be held on an
ongoing basis. This will include both spiritual
and practical teaching that will equip believers
to become competent mentors and leaders in
the home, on the job and in the work of the
ministry.
Freedom Seminars
We will host seminars which are designed
to reveal truths that set people free from the strongholds of
an unenlightened life and put people on God’s
path to prosperity and success.
Training to facilitate these groups will also be provided and is excellent
ministry training for every area of your ministry.
Specialized Task training
Specialized training will be given for those
serving people through the ministry. Some
of the training will include training for:
children’s and youth workers, small
group leaders, mission’s teams, musicians
and singers, ushers, greeters, visitation
teams, etc.
This training will be both Biblical and
practical. Because our vision is to develop
fully devoted Disciples of Christ, the one-on-one
mentor and disciple approach will be utilized
along with classroom training.
Victory Bible college
Victory Bible College correspondence courses
are available for those desiring to develop
their Bible knowledge and/or earn a degree
in Theology. We will pursue the establishment
of a VBCI satellite college, in the future,
for the training and continued development
of ministry leaders.
Putting it into practice
Finding your place of expression and service
is vital to your development as a Disciple
of Jesus. Every believer is a minister and
has something to offer. We have a list of
areas where you can express your gift and
grow in grace and be strengthened in character
and personal impact. You are important! We
all need what God has placed in you and you
need to express it for ultimate fulfillment.
Evangelistic and missions training and opportunities
will be presented. We desire to reach out
into areas where we can establish a lasting
influence both here and abroad and where
people can be growing under supervision
Small group meetings will host a variety
of opportunities for people to be involved,
equipped and to receive ministry. There can
be a score of formats, meeting places, and
purposes for these groups. It may be necessary,
at times, for church leadership to determine
a curriculum for these groups that will coincide
with the direction of the Lord for a specific
season. These groups should be Christ centered,
Bible based and Holy Spirit directed.
LAUNCH
We are a releasing and sending church.
We release people into Holy Spirit directed
service as they are equipped and ready to
be released. This release may be into local
areas of oversight and responsibility, but
we see many being released as part of church
planting teams, in the area, the nation,
and the world.
Part of our mission is to plant church planting
churches. Not only are we commission to reproduce
ourselves through developing fully devoted
Disciples of Christ, but we are commanded
to be fruitful and multiply. Church planting
has been recognized as the most effective
way to fulfill the Great Commission. It causes
multiplication to take place in the lives
of the people involved and is a way to establish
lasting fruit for God.
